Took 30 credit hours of a major teachable area (Mathematics and Statistics) in order to get a permanent professional
certificate to teach kinder- grade 12.

Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Psychology, February 2010.

Passed the Licensure Exam for Teachers in the Philippines with a score of 86.40 out of 100.

WORK EXPERIENCE
January 2015- present: University of Manitoba
Research assistant for a studies about Aboriginal post-secondary students, post secondary education for women, etc. Conducts data gathering, transcriptions, paper wirting and research work.
August 2014- Present: Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate
Contracted as a consultant for distance education courses. Responsibilities include planning, implementing and delivering online classes (Biology, Introduction to Pre-Cal and Career Development) daily to students located in First Nations communities across Manitoba.
September 2014- Present: Winnipeg School Division 1- Faraday School
Works as a volunteer/ co teacher in grades one, two and three to gain experience in the field, and be prepared for the teaching profession in Canada. Work includes handling groups (3-8) of children to do spelling, reading comprehension, math, computer activities, gym, and arts and crafts.
August 2012- August 2014: Red Sucker Lake First Nation School
Worked as a high school teacher for Grades 9-12. Planned, developed, implemented, the course that included lectures, quizzes, worksheets,
projects and exams for high school courses.
November 2011- July 2012: University of Manitoba
Works casual part time as an invigilator for exams, making sure that exams are in process and in control making sure students follow rules and regulations related to taking academic examinations.

Nursery School Assistant Teacher (2-4yrs)/ ECE Assistant (school age). Implements the nursery program of the centre, designs programs for the
school children, and implements the program to school age.

An original paper studying the relationship of problem solving and learning strategies that students use in solving mathematics problems as the language (English or Filipino) used to state these problems the type of problem (single or multiple operations) are changed. Published in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) Journal, Volume I, December 2009.
February 2009: EFFECTS OF SPEAKER ACCENT TO STUDENTS’ RETENTION, COMPREHENSION AND SPEAKER RATING.
Replication paper of the study done by Sobko, Mautone and Mayer (2007); testing the effect of speaker accent on speaker rating and students’ learning; written along with Vernice Liao and Rosee Alimon. Published in Philippine English as a Foreign Langauge (EFL) Journal, Volume 2, February 2009.
October 2008: DESIGNING WRITTEN ASSESSMENT FOR STUDENTS
Wrote a chapter (Chapter 7: Grading Students) for this book authored by Dr. Carlo Magno and Mr. Jerome Ouano, this book for higher education can be used by pre-service teachers, educational psychology majors, teachers, and practitioners in assessment.

Conducted a seminar about the thinkers keys, how it is implemented and why it is a nice strategy to stimulate students’ thinking in the classroom.
